COTTONOPOLOIS TO DIGITOPOLOS – a celebration of Manchester’s Industrial Past and Digital Present and Future.

The walk helped to show how to research things visually using your surroundings. We watched and took photos of everything that we thought would help us with future modules and showed good design.

We have to make something to show Manchester’s industrial revolution and showing all things that helped Manchester to evolve.

Second blog!

Requirements:
Title for the project
A stylesheet, to keep the visual theme to keep everything together
Logo designs
3 themed posters that fit the project, make a series of posters (look into absolute vodka campaign)
A5 format leaflet/invite needs to be appealing to viewers but still functional
An extended item, so anything we want to work on (Website, social media sites, etc.)

Research will help to get a concept and name etc.

We need to show our journey through this module. Use Lynda.com. Self-learning not full teaching.

Core items:
A brand
A logo
A Triptych
Visualisation of an extended item that correlates with the rest of the project.
Not a polished finished thing, but a journey that shows how we would working with it.

Presentation to show how we are working and what ideas we have (Just in front of the class)

Purpose for the module:

250 words needed!

Do lots of research, so like go outside have a look around, google it. From above. Maps. ETC.

Make actual things. Use the thingy room (Maker room??!) with Kevin.

Theme doesn’t have to be complex it’s what you do with it.
